David took time out of his career, in 2020/21, to pursue a full-time Master's of Science Degree at University College London, where he studied Economics and Policy of Energy and the Environment, which covered broad climate and environmental issues within the ESG space. His chosen field of study for his dissertation was related to the impact of electric vehicles on the electricity grid with a focus on smart and V2G charging. He is now planning a return to employment, where he will combine the skills and experience of his career to date with the knowledge gained from this chosen field of study.
David has over 25 years’ experience in credit trading, credit investment, private equity and asset management in both developed and emerging financial markets and has a deep understanding of capital markets. His career includes senior roles at Merrill Lynch, European Credit Management and Jefferies. He has worked for extended periods in Tokyo, London and San Francisco.
David’s experience includes trading, structuring, portfolio management, business and team building and risk management. More recently within the Private Equity space David has been involved in deal sourcing, capital raising, structuring and due diligence. He has worked on projects in Energy, Housing and Real Estate, Liquid Natural Gas, Shipping, Data Centres and Solar.
David qualified as a UK Chartered Accountant (ICEAW) with Coopers and Lybrand (now PwC) and holds a First Class Honours Degree in Economics from Bristol University.
