After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin in 1998 with a BBA in Accounting and a Masters in Professional Accounting (MPA), Robert Prather Jr. went on to gain more than 20 years of relevant experience, including his role as a member of the senior research staff and President at Vision Research. He is professionally skilled in Equity Research, Portfolio Management, Hedge Funds, Entrepreneurship, and Venture Capital. Robert began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, auditing financial statements of publicly traded and privately held companies. After leaving PwC in 2000, Robert joined WestAM (Dallas), where his responsibilities included various sector coverage as a global equities analyst, as well as, the Assistant Portfolio Manager for Europe. In 2004, Robert joined Rider Fund, where he was a research analyst for a long-short equity fund inside a billion-dollar family office. Robert then joined Vision Research in 2006 as a research analyst for Vision’s independent equity research service and for its long-short equity fund. The fund and research business were separated in 2011, and Robert became the president and managing member of the research business.
